16 December 2016, Brussels/New York – The European Commission’s campaign ‘Europe. Whenever you’re ready.’, which promotes tourism to Europe, is set to help travel fans discover Europe’s diverse destinations and hidden gems at the 2017 New York Times Travel Show taking place at NYC’s Jacob K. Javits Center between January 27 and 29.
The European Commission together with the European Travel Commission and national tourism organisations from Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia and Slovakia will be present at the NYT Travel Show to promote the tourism campaign, which aims at encouraging non-EU citizens to choose Europe as their next destination.

An app titled ‘360° European Wonders’, available at the EUROPE stand (booth 371) and for download, will allow visitors to explore some of Europe’s most striking wonders. This is just a taste of what awaits tourists planning to visit Europe.
Also, a Facebook application featuring Europe’s ‘Wonder Map’ will offer US tourists a chance to get travel tips from Europeans.
A set of conferences on European tourism trends and undiscovered destinations takes place on 27 January from 9:00am to 12:15pm. Tourism experts and European officials including Mr Carlo Corazza, Head of the Tourism, Emerging and Creative Industries Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, will be reviewing the latest trends in the European tourism sector.
