To mark the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the CRPD and in order to contribute more actively to the respect for the rights of people with disabilities, Belgium and the European Union, together with Qatar and Mexico are organizing a side-event on sharing best practices on reporting and follow-up to the recommendations of the CRPD Committee. Perspectives of the CRPD committee, the UN Special Rapporteurs, States, regional organisations and organisations of persons with disabilities will be presented for the discussion.
